MARCELLO CHIARENZA

chiarenza-ritratto

Marcello Chiarenza was born in Sicily in 1955. Graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic, he is a multifaceted artist: sculptor, painter, set designer, author and theater director. Chiarenza works in the field of symbolic figuration and the dramaturgy of the festival; he has dealt with indoor and outdoor installation and theatrical settings both in theaters and in italian squares. His plays have been performed throughout Italy, France, England, Switzerland, Belgium and Spain.

The eclectic sensitivity that characterizes him makes his sculptures light, but at the same time rich in a symbolism that springs from the images preserved by the breath of time, from spiritual memory, from the history of religions and from psychology. The archetypes he represents bring out myths and fairy tales of an immortal language that continues to speak to us through the forms of symbols.
