ONIRIKA

Guja Quaranta, known artistically as Onirika, was born to a set designer and a costume designer, a background that not only drew her toward the world of cinema but also gifted her with a refined sense of color and perspective.
Her collages were created during the first lockdown, a period she spent in New York. The impression of the city, reduced to a ghostly place, sparked in her the need to give form to those emotions. This took shape through collages made from unsold magazines that had caught her attention with their vivid colors. Extracted from their everyday context, the images are reassembled to create new forms and meanings, offering a fresh perspective on the world around us.
