OTTIERI TOMMASO

Born in 1971 in Naples, Tommaso Ottieri studied architecture at the University of Naples Federico II and at the Robert Gordon School of Architecture in Aberdeen, UK. After graduating in 1996, he moved to the Cyclades thanks to a scholarship and opened a painting studio in Oia (Santorini). In 1998, he established his studio in Naples, where he continues to live and work.
Tommaso Ottieri initially devoted himself to painting only in his spare time, but it eventually became his primary pursuit. The common thread of his work has always been the city: at first, the buildings he worked on as an architect appeared on his canvases, but over time his gaze expanded to encompass urban centers around the world. For him, the city is like a living organism, constantly evolving and changing day by day; in depicting it, he aims to tell the stories of the people who inhabit it. This is expressed through a visual language that seems to capture the lights and flashes of these great centers, creating impressions that form urban landscapes.
