POLLINI GIANLUCA

Gianluca Pollini was born in 1960 in Bologna, where he currently lives and works. He began photographing in 1982, focusing on nature reportage that was published in various magazines and industry books, including Tutti i Fotografi, Photo Italia, Fotopratica Immagini, Fotografare, Airone, Alp, Naturefotografie, and Fotoit.
Pollini’s current work explores numerous themes, all connected to the environment and nature, with light serving as the unifying thread. His most recent photographic series revisit well-known mountain landscapes under full moonlight, reflective waters and salt flats featuring unusual light effects, fog-enshrouded rural and lagoon scenes, as well as refined floral compositions that are at once minimal and intense.
Since 2019, he has undertaken a new path dedicated to Architecture, particularly following the work of renowned architect Aldo Rossi and the architectural forms of Italy’s Ventennio period. This research has resulted in a selection of works, some in color, under the series title Arquitectonica.
