Doriano Scazzosi was born in 1960 in Milan. After completing his studies at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, he won the Annunciata Prize at the Galleria Annunciata in Milan. He has received numerous commissions for church decorations and book illustrations for the publishing house Mursia. Over the years, his exhibition activity has expanded with solo and group shows in Italy and abroad, and several of his works have entered important private and public collections.

The theme Scazzosi favors is still life: cut flowers that nevertheless seem to retain their natural freshness, as if just picked from the garden and laid on a surface, awaiting placement in a vase. Particularly striking are his compositions featuring water and large glass vases, which showcase the artist’s skill in rendering reflections and transparencies. Mostly executed on wooden panels, Scazzosi’s paintings employ mixed media, primarily acrylics, pencils, and pastels.
