Born in Turin in 1969, she graduated in illustration from the European Institute of Design (IED) in Milan in 1992, starting already in the first years of her studies some collaborations with important publishing houses; in approaching painting, she became a pupil of Ottavio Mazzonis, still today an important reference for the artist. Her first exhibition was held in 1996 at the Galleria Dantesca in Turin. Her works have been exhibited in over 50 shows, in the main Italian contemporary art fairs and are part of important private and public collections, such as those of the CRT Foundation, Generali and the Regional Council of Piedmont for which she made the portraits of the last presidents.

In her works, Luisa Albert uses the chiaroscuro technique to draw on the observation of everyday life elements, declined in a theatrical compositions. Color, light and shadow dominate still lifes, interiors and figures. In these silent spaces where life seems to flow slowly and indolently, it is the artist's gaze that makes us perceive details, objects and habits of people who, however, are never represented.
