“DIVAS – DOG PORTRAITS”:
FRANCESCO PERGOLESI’S EXHIBITION
AT VILLA DELLA REGINA, TURIN
DIVAS – Dog Portraits is the new exhibition by photographer Francesco Pergolesi, running from April 20 to June 25, 2023, at Villa della Regina in Turin. Curated by Carla Testore, the show presents over forty authorial portraits dedicated to dogs and their relationship with their owners, transforming domestic spaces into fully-fledged photographic sets.
The exhibition combines contemporary art, poetic scenography, and cultural and cinematic references, offering an original perspective on the role of dogs in the modern family. Villa della Regina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, hosts the exhibition both indoors and outdoors, opening spaces that are normally closed to the public.
The event is part of the Torino Photo Days program and is sponsored by the City of Turin, with support from various partners, including MONGE and Allianz Assicurazioni.
