A year ago, during Lorenzo Mariani’s solo exhibition—known as L’orMa—at the gallery, the VAF Foundation awarded him first prize for Italian artists under 40.

The German foundation, in addition to acquiring the winning works, organizes a major traveling exhibition that begins at the Stadtgalerie in Kiel, where the prize is presented.

After the German leg, the exhibition continues in Italy at the Castello Estense in Ferrara. We invite you to visit the noble floor galleries from March 5 to June 4, where this prestigious event—established to support contemporary Italian art and promote cultural exchange between Italy and Germany—will be on display.

The exhibition features the nine finalists of the 9th edition of the Prize: Luca Azzurro, Renata and Cristina Cosi, Silvia Inselvini, the KEM collective, L’orMa, Enrico Minguzzi, Sebastiano Raimondo, Dario Tironi, and Valeria Vaccaro.

The show is also accompanied by a bilingual Italian-English catalog published by Manfredi Edizioni, followed at the end of 2023 by a monograph dedicated to L’orMa’s work.
